Vale of Clwyd TT league – Ladies only Time Trial

 

1/ What is it ?

 

A 5 mile race against the clock. Riders will be set off at one minute intervals. Ride to the Llandyrnog roundabout and back and you’re done. It will take about 15 to 20 minutes depending on how much effort you apply.

 

2/ When: Tuesday 6th July 2021. First rider off at 19.00. Sign on before 18.45

 

3/ Where: St Marcella, Whitchurch Road, Denbigh. ( Head towards Llandyrnog from the Denbigh Bypass at junction of A525 and A543 ). The sign-on will be at the Water Works access about 50 metres past the church heading towards Llandyrnog -  you can also find a map of the sign-on location on the Rhyl Cycling Club website  (Sign on location)

 

4/ Essential equipment ?

 

A Bicycle with a working rear light. This event is to encourage participation. You will not be out of place riding a mountain bike with flat pedals.

 

5/ Do I need to be a member of a Cycling Club ?

 

No. This is a ‘Come and try it’ event which means anyone can ride (12 years + ).

 

6/ Can I ride with a companion. ? No.

 

7/ What is the objective ?

 

To have fun and provide a low key environment for Ladies to take part in the simplest form of bike racing. This event is aimed at first-timers although anyone is welcome to join in.

 

8/ Can men ride too ?

 

Maybe. There’s a 40 rider limit for all our races so we will fill spare places with men after 18.45 on a first come first served basis ie. form an orderly queue.

 

9/ Where will the results be posted ?

 

On the ‘Vale of Clwyd Time Trial League’ facebook group page and on local cycling  club websites.

10/ How much does it cost to enter ?

 

£ 3 for Juniours, £ 4 for club members and £ 5 for non members.
